After Corona? - EDUCATION

In each episode we focus on a different part of our society - a business sector or public service - and hear personal testimony from people who are worried or hopeful or both about what the future means for them and their work. Everyone you’re about to hear is speaking in a personal capacity, and from the heart. They reflect on their own experiences of life in 2020, as well as thinking more widely about the implications for the future. Some names have been changed. In this episode, we’re taking another look at education. Unless you were a child of a designated key worker, or you yourself were vulnerable, then you will have missed between 6 and 16 weeks of your education this year - from early years nurseries right through to higher education and adult learning. And whilst the confusion and noise around exams, remote learning and guidance for teachers is tangible right now, we won’t know the true impact of such a massive emergency situation for years to come. Answering my questions in this episode are professors, lecturers, pre-school experts, learning mentors and education and youth work researchers. What value with the education systems have after coronavirus, what needs changing, and what, ultimately, have been the biggest things we’ve all learned? --- For more information on how you can get involved with The Possibility Club – an inclusive community of professionals working out what’s next, have a look at www.thepossibilityclub.org We’d also love to know what you think.
